Jingtu sanbu jing

Engelse titel: the three scriptures on the pure land

Jingtu sanbu jing.
In Chinese, “the three scriptures on the pure land,” a designation for three main sūtras that focus on Amitabha Buddha and his Pure Land of Sukhavati; these are generally considered to be the central canonical sūtras of the pure land schools.

The three scriptures are

(1) Sukhāvatīvyūha Sūtra - the [Larger] Sūtra on the Buddha of Immeasurable Life. T360 Wuliang Shou jing

(2) Guan wuliangshou jīng - Sūtra on the Contemplation of the Buddha of Immeasurable Life. T365 Guan wuliangshou jing

(3) Amitabha Sutra - the [Smaller] Sūtra on the Buddha Amitābha. T366 Emituo jing

The writings of the pure land school are to a large extent commentaries on or exegeses of these three scriptures. (Bushwell 2014 The Princeton Dictionary of Buddhism p391)
